About The Teacher
After teaching both group and private piano for over 30 years, using every method from the traditional to Suzuki to the most recent, Hal Leonard and others, I KNOW that I have finally found THE BEST method to teach piano! This is the most natural and yet the most comprehensive and complete method I will ever need to prepare my piano students to become life-long students of piano and lovers and of all genres of music! I am so grateful to Lynn Frank and Karen Gibson (both accredited Simply Music teachers from North Carolina and Tennessee, respectively) who introduced me and other Kindermusik teachers to this wonderful method when we were attending our international Kindermusik Educators Association Conference in Nashville, TN-the music capital of the USA! I am thrilled to have become the very first licensed and accredited Simply Music Teacher in the state of South Carolina in this awesome method! All of my former students have "converted" to Simply Music and LOVE it! Their parents and even adults tell me that they WANT to play every day, and never have to be "reminded to go PRACTICE!" Now that I have taught this method for almost three years, I am amazed every day when I see my beginning students playing so well and even memorizing every piece, composing, arranging, transposing, playing "by ear" and reading from lead sheets, and ultimately learning to sight read better than with any other method! They are playing music that they LIKE and WANT to learn to play, unlike many of the "traditional" methods that had them playing little silly songs they were really not happy to learn!
