Annette Schmidt teaches the breakthrough Simply Music® piano and keyboard program, the easy, natural method of learning to play piano. You’ll learn to play pops, blues, and classical immediately, right from your very first lessons. This program, developed in Australia, produces extraordinary results for students of all ages and backgrounds.
Annette believes in the Simply Music method with a passion: “The Simply Music method will change the way we have taught piano for the last 300 years. I’ve played piano all my life, and I love it. But this is the way I wish I could have learned. With Simply Music, students play wonderful music, not repetitious scales or nursery rhymes, from the first lesson. Annette loves all genres of music. She has played piano since childhood and performed most recently with the Los Medanos Jazz Studio Band.
She brings a wealth of teaching experience to the piano keyboard, being a Credentialed Teacher for the State of California and a Certified Alexander Technique Teacher.
“Yes, I teach piano technique. But more than that, I guide each individual student to learn to hear music, to integrate music into their lives, to acquire and nurture a lifelong companionship with whatever types of music sing to their heart.”

Start young, start old, start at any age--7 to 107. Simply Music students progress from playing a dozen songs in their first dozen lessons to building a repertoire of over 40 pieces after a year.
