If you have successfully downloaded and installed Scorch, and can view your music, you will notice that just above the sheet music on screen there is a Toolbar. This allows you to interact with the sheet music. For example, you can usually Play an audio clip of the sheet music, or even Transpose it to another key.

Note: Our Guitar and Bass Tablature sheets do not have the Transposition option enabled as they are note-for-note transcriptions.

In some cases you can print the first page as a sample. This is a good idea to check your printer is set up correctly.

| | | Sound changes which sound device you use for playback. If you've installed a different MIDI playback driver that you'd rather use, you can switch to that device here.

| | Playback controls and tempo slider.* Click play button to play from the start, or click on the score to play from that point.
| (Keyboard shortcuts: P=play/pause, O/Esc=stop, [/] =rewind/fast forward)

| | Substitute Instrument of the solo line. Choose from 18 possible instruments on the drop down menu. The solo line will be transposed for any instrument selected, though the piano accompaniment remains at "concert pitch." Guitar chord frames will not transpose with the solo line.*

| | Transpose to any key.* (Guitar chord frames will disappear in any key other than the original key of the song.)
