I've never had music lessons before and am a total beginner. Is this program suitable for someone like me?

A:
This program is perfect for you. Our method is designed for total beginners - children, teens, adults and seniors. Even if you've struggled with other methods, this program will have you playing great-sounding music - immediately - from your very first lessons.

Q:
How much practice do I need to do?

A:
The results that this program achieves are built around students doing aprroximately 20 minutes practice a day, 5 or 6 days a week.

Q:
I have had music lessons before. Is this program suitable for someone like me?

A:
Our method is an entry-level program, and although we commonly attract students who have had extensive prior experience, it is designed to be the perfect starting place for those who have never had music lessons before. Our program steps you through a unique 'playing-based' process that is simple to learn, easy to follow and immensely satisfying.

Q:
When do Simply Music students learn to read music?

A:
The reading process is usually introduced after building a solid repertoire of 35 to 50 pieces. The larger and more fluent the repertoire, the easier it is to successfully introduce music reading. As with all aspects of the Simply Music program, our approach to music reading is unique, and built around the ‘playing-based’ principles that students have been learning since their very first lessons. Please refer to our Curriculum Overview for a more information about this.

Q:
What is the best age to start with Simply Music?

A:
Generally speaking, our youngest beginning students are around 7-years old. When dealing with younger students, 5 or 6-years old, the methodology remains the same, however the process is managed a little differently.

As always, our goal is to ensure that each and every student experiences success throughout the entire earning process, regardless of age. Consistent with this, our oldest beginning students are in their 90's.

Q:
How much does it cost to be a student with Simply Music?

A:
This varies from teacher to teacher, and is influenced by the country you live in, the economics of your specific area, the level of training and experience of the teacher, whether you learn in a group, shared or private lesson etc.

Bearing in mind the influence of these factors, outstanding results are achieved with this program, and our teachers remain committed to providing extraordinary value for money. Please contact a Simply Music Teacher in your area to find out more.
